Inspection Reports

I am very pleased to post our latest Inspection Report.

Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) reports are in two forms. The longer inspection places greater emphasis on the quality of education and care in addition to reporting on regulatory compliance is called a standard report. Our most recent one was in 2007 and is available here.

Our interim report completed in March 2011 has a focus on compliance with regulatory requirements and includes a quality check on teaching and learning and is available here.

It is wonderful to read that the School has maintained the high standards achieved at the last standard inspection in February 2007. During their visit this time, the Inspectors noted, ‘pupils’ progress is supported by good teaching that has outstanding aspects.’ They praised the rapport between teachers and pupils and said, ‘pupils’ attitudes to their learning are excellent.’

The Inspectors commented on the School’s ‘character education’ and the pupils’ ‘outstanding moral awareness’, and ‘outstanding social development.’ They noted, ‘The quality of pupils’ behaviour is consistently high.’ They also praised the School’s ‘excellent pastoral system and the care shown by staff.’

The report finds the ‘level of cooperation between staff and the leadership team is a notable feature’ and commends the ‘commitment and professionalism at all levels of management which results in a good quality education and excellent personal development opportunities for pupils.’

The Early Years Foundation Stage, which covers Nursery to Reception, was assessed as outstanding in all four areas.

I also draw your attention to page 4 of the report which comments on the effectiveness of governance, leadership and management. I am pleased the Inspectors recognised the quality of our senior leaders in this way.
